I sought to depict the brevity of youth. The pair of hands grasp onto the just blooming peony but it is already swiftly vanishing, like youth, just starting and already destined to end. Though disappearing, the flower has a faint glow: youth, despite its brevity, is a person’s one of the most beautiful times. This painting is sold at my school's art auction with all proceeds in donation to Wildlife Rescue Association of British Columbia.
