Summer Internship Entry 3 - Copyrights

After going to NYU Fales, I also learned about the importance of copyrights for these special archives as some libraries, like NYU Fales, do not hold the copyrights for the materials they are housing. I discussed the problem with my professor with regards to using the materials for the documentary and found a solution to contact the possible copyright holders who may have inherited the rights over the materials after Lotringer passed. Since copyrights are essential to research and publication, it is something that I need to learn in order to work in curation and/or teaching.
